Are you an experienced medical front desk professional who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in creating a positive patient experience?

Chesapeake Specialty Care is growing, and we're looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Representative to join our team.

In this role, you'll be an important part of the patient experience-from the moment a patient walks through our doors to the time they check out. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and staying busy, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a fully in-person position, regularly working across all of our offices is required. Our offices are located in Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and Westminster

Your Schedule

Monday-Friday - no weekends!
8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch

What You'll Do
  • Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional check-in and check-out experience
  • Schedule appointments across our practice locations
  • Collect copays and outstanding patient balances
  • Assist patients with general insurance and billing questions
  • Review paperwork, referrals, and medical records for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare patient charts and help keep front desk areas organized
  • Rotate between office locations based on practice needs
  • Work alongside a supportive team to keep daily operations running smoothly
What Will Help You Succeed
  • At least 1 year of medical front desk or medical office experience is required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A positive, dependable, and team-focused attitude
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced medical office
  • Comfort with typing, scanning, filing, and general office tasks
  • A professional and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability and willingness to regularly travel between all four office locations
Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical office training or education is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
