Location: Village Home Stores – Downtown Geneseo, IL
Availability: Part-time 
Schedule: M, W & F 8:30 am–5:00 pm | Select Saturdays 8:30 am–12:00 pm | No Nights | No Sundays

Village Home Stores is a destination for home inspiration - offering cabinetry, lighting, flooring, appliances, and full-home design and remodeling services. Our downtown Geneseo showroom welcomes homeowners, builders, and designers from across the region. We are proud to provide small-town service with award-winning expertise.
About the Role:
The Front Desk Associate is the first impression of Village Home Stores. This role is ideal for someone with outstanding people skills who enjoys creating a welcoming, organized, and professional environment. You will greet showroom visitors, manage incoming calls, and support our sales team with day-to-day showroom tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, industry professionals, and vendors, in person, by phone, and online.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Confirm and welcome customers to scheduled showroom appointments.
  • Assist with tracking and receiving product for select departments.
  • Pull bulb packages, under-cabinet lighting, switches, outlets, and stock inventory.
  • Assist with labeling and organizing incoming window treatment jobs.
  • Update light fixture and window treatment tags in the showroom and create tags for new products.
  • Support showroom organization and merchandising efforts.
  • Perform additional administrative and cross-trained duties as needed to support the team.
