Job description

About the Role:
EZ COMM LLC is looking for skilled Fiber Technicians to join our growing 1099 Independent Contractor team in Indianapolis, IN! This is an exciting opportunity to work on the cutting edge of telecommunications infrastructure, helping connect communities with high-speed fiber optic networks. If you're hands-on, technically driven, and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in residential, commercial, and outside plant environments
  • Perform fiber optic testing using OTDR and other diagnostic equipment to ensure network integrity
  • Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic lines, connectors, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and network schematics
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service documentation
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards on all job sites
  • Coordinate with team leads and project managers to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, or telecommunications preferred
  • Familiarity with OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and fiber optic tools
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • BICSI certification or related telecom certifications a plus
