Must have a valid Driver's License with at least 2 years of driving experience
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to travel and work away from home when required

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening


Full Job Description:


Traffic Control Technician: maintains traffic control for a variety of traffic control set ups including lane closures and flagging operations according to the TMUTCD (Texas Manual on Traffic Control Devices) and assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.


• Training provided for flagger/workzone
• Maintain all work areas, vehicles and work sites in a neat and orderly fashion

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Traffic Control Supervisor, Example: There may be times when traffic control services are not needed and crews may be assigned to work in areas of maintenance at the yard/shop or any areas pertaining to company.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear the proper safety equipment (work boots, hard hat and safety vest)
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures
• Ability to multitask and have a high awareness of your surroundings
• This is an outdoor position, and you will work in all weather conditions


Work Requirements and Duties


• Report to the assigned job site in uniform and ready to begin work at the designated start time
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Follow direction of Traffic Control Supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and using the appropriate PPE for the task
• Maintain traffic controls around all assigned work zones and report any problems to the Traffic Control Supervisor or Management

• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and/or supervisors with other duties as required
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule
• Perform each job task satisfactorily and successfully
• Must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times

• Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects and /or flags, repeated use, raise arms
• Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
• Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance peripheral, depth and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and/or move anywhere up to 50lbs


Working Hours:


Denali Traffic Solutions operates as a 24/7/365 days a year for scheduled or emergency call outs in servicing temporary traffic control for the whole state of Texas. Scheduled hours will vary depending on your teams’ and contractors’ needs which may often include have to work long hours.


New Hire Payroll Deduction Policy:


A one-time deduction of $100 will be taken from the first paycheck of all new hires to cover the cost of the required drug screening and personal protective equipment (PPE). This amount will be reimbursed in full upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period. If employment is terminated or voluntarily ended before the 90-day period is completed, the $100 is non-refundable.

In order to qualify for these benefits, an employee must be considered as a Full-time employee.


40 hours Vacation Pay (after 1 year of employment)
• Holiday pay for observed holidays as per Handbook Policy (after 60 days of employment)
• Time and half pay for employees who work on observed holidays
• $150 Work boot voucher at your 1 year anniversary.
