Job description

In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Banner - University Medical Group in Tucson is actively seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist!
Banner Health, a top 5-health system, seeks a qualified candidate to join an established team as an academic Pediatric Pulmonologist. Join a well-established, nationally recognized academic pediatric pulmonary practice at the University of Arizona serving a diverse population including border, indigenous and rural populations. The Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine division currently has an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center, a MCHB-funded Pediatric Pulmonary Center, an active pediatric sleep program and thriving clinical programs in asthma, severe asthma, aerodigestive disorders, neuromuscular diseases, home tracheostomy and ventilator patients and pediatric flexible bronchoscopy. We are an integral part of the Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center and are widely recognized for our clinical and translational research in asthma, cystic fibrosis, and the biology of airway diseases. Our division plays an important role in training medical students, residents, and fellows. Protected time for academic pursuits is available based on interests. There are multiple opportunities to program build, to expand clinical outreach, and to participate in clinical research activities. The successful candidate will hold an academic title with the University of Arizona.
Essential Functions
  • Clinical responsibilities shared with other faculty members
  • Outpatient pediatric pulmonary clinics
  • Inpatient/consult service at Diamond Children's Medical Center-call no more than 1 in 4 weeks
  • Academic time
  • Call is taken from home
Minimum Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Arizona medical license obtained by start date
  • BE/BC in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
  • New Grads encouraged to apply!

  • Enjoyment of general pediatric pulmonary medicine
  • Reliable, energetic individual interested in teaching and scholarly activity
  • Interest in quality improvement, clinical/translational or basic science research
