Unit Description:

Porter Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Lead Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care while serving as a clinical leader and resource for the practice's clinical support staff.
 

The Lead RN is responsible for addressing patients' nursing needs in both the office and telephone settings, coordinating care with providers, and ensuring care is delivered according to professional nursing standards. This role also provides leadership, guidance, and support to clinical team members while helping maintain efficient clinical operations and exceptional patient experiences.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct patient care in an outpatient practice setting.
  • Perform patient assessments, triage, and clinical documentation.
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
  • Collaborate with providers to support patient care plans.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of clinical team members.
  • Assist with nursing staff scheduling and daily clinical operations.
  • Promote a positive, patient-centered, and team-focused environment.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience required.
  • Two years of relevant RN experience in a primary care, specialty, or ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
