Aerotek is hiring for a Solar Laborer to help assist in decommissioning!

$22-$25 depending on expereince

WEEKLY PAY | DAY Shift

Job Description

This temporary role supports a commercial solar project involving the decommissioning and down the line the reinstallation of rooftop solar panels. You will work primarily on flat roofs, assisting with the removal and reinstallation of solar equipment over 2-4 months. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with four 10-hour shifts each week, 6am-230 or 7-3 depending on the heat.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the decommissioning (Phase 1) of rooftop solar panels, including safe removal of panels and related components from flat roofs.
  • Support the reinstallation (Phase 2) of rooftop solar panels, ensuring panels and equipment are placed and secured according to project specifications.
  • Handle, carry, and stage solar panels, tools, and materials safely on commercial rooftops.
  • Follow instructions from site supervisors and experienced solar technicians to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Use basic hand and power tools to support solar panel removal and installation activities.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots, hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, and high-visibility vest.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in construction, electrical, or solar environments, particularly on commercial solar projects.
  • Ability to perform rooftop work, including rooftop solar installation and decommissioning tasks.
  • Comfort working at heights on flat roofs while following all safety protocols.

The work involves physical activity such as climbing, lifting, and moving equipment on the roof, and may include travel to multiple project locations as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
