Advanced Medical Aesthetician & Laser Specialist (Part-Time)

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in medical aesthetics and laser treatments*

Aura Health & Spa is seeking an experienced, passionate, and results-driven Medical Aesthetician & Laser Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled professional who is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advanced aesthetic treatments, and a luxury-level client experience.
At Aura, we believe in combining cutting-edge technology with personalized care to help our patients achieve their aesthetic goals while feeling confident, educated, and supported throughout their journey.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in a medical spa or clinical aesthetic setting and demonstrate expertise in advanced skincare treatments, laser technologies, patient education, and treatment planning. Candidates should be professional, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continued growth within the aesthetics industry.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized patient experiences with professionalism and compassion.
  • Perform advanced aesthetic treatments safely and effectively, following established protocols and standards of care.
  • Conduct thorough consultations, assess patient concerns, and develop customized treatment recommendations.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, skincare regimens, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation within the patient record.
  • Ensure all treatment rooms, equipment, and devices are properly maintained, sanitized, and prepared for patient appointments.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Remain current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices through continuing education.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Uphold company policies, pricing structures, and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and efficiency throughout the workday.
Required Qualifications

  • Current and active Michigan Esthetician License.
  • Prefer two (2) years of experience in a medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetic practice, with a minimum of one (1) year hands on laser treatments experience.  
  • Strong knowledge of skin physiology, treatment planning, and patient education.
  • Plus if you have experience performing:
    • Hydrafacial®
    • Glo2Facial®
    • Chemical peels
    • Microneedling
    • Morpheus8
  • Experience with energy-based and laser treatments, including:
    • IPL
    • ResurFX
    • Laser Hair Removal
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent, results-driven treatments.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish long-term patient relationships.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with treatment package sales and membership programs.
  • Creating customized treatment plans to coincide with at home skin care routines
  • Knowledge of medical-grade skincare products 
  • Additional certifications in advanced aesthetic treatments are a plus.
