Skin Better Science: In 2016, skinbetter science® set out to create a new paradigm in skincare, not only for patients, but for the physicians, nurses, aestheticians, and surgeons who help patients achieve beautiful skin. Our award-winning products are backed by a diverse team with decades of experience in clinical research and development (in powerhouse products like Restylane® and Dysport®) and furthered by a continued commitment to the study of skincare science and the introduction of new technologies.
In 2022 L'Oréal acquired Skin Better Science where it joined the dynamic LDB Division.
Who we are looking for: Skin Better Science is looking to enrich our Global Marketing Team by recruiting a Manager of Global Marketing. The Manager of Global Marketing will play a key role in Skin Better Science's product launches and brand internationalization. We are looking for a candidate with a strong DMI (global marketing) background, and experience managing and launching products and animations. The ideal candidate will also be driven, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possess skincare development experience.
Manage New Product Development:
  • Oversee new launches and product renovations for US and International.
  • Using consumer and scientific insights, trends, and product knowledge, support the product development team in building the 3-year product innovation plan that addresses business needs and meets Brand DNA.
  • Partner with Labs and Industrial Development team to ensure product feasibility and appropriate development timelines.
  • Responsible for end-to-end project launch (insights, formula direction, packaging design, artwork, claims, launch strategy) and partnership with cross functional teams to ensure comprehensive and on-time 360 launch.
  • Support concept development: incorporate consumer and scientific insights to create meaningful and innovative product positioning, in alignment with business needs and brand equity.
  • Support formula development: manage formula review and approval process for both new products and existing product reformulations.
  • Support operational development: work closely with the development team on key operational alignments, including Magellan briefing, PVIS targets, international forecast sizing, packaging targets, artwork copy, anticipation of local market product needs, and more.
  • Oversee the end-to-end claims process, working closely with the Medical Team to design the clinical testing platform and medical studies.
  • Ensure the overall feasibility and profitability of projects through cost of goods management.
  • Oversee the artwork process, ensuring timely briefing and approvals.
  • Own the product comp process, ensuring comp and bulk availability for photoshoots.

Market Research and Analysis:
  • Market Research: conduct thorough competitive landscape analysis (market, consumer, physician), understand consumer trends, and identify opportunities. Work closely with CMI teams and leverage CMI resources to gather and interpret market data.
  • Analytical Tasks: analyze competitor claims, synthesize findings from consumer testing, and translate data into actionable insights for product development and marketing.

Manage Global Marketing Activations:
  • Work with cross-functional partners and agencies to:
    • Brief and create integrated consumer launch plans including hero assets, POS displays, PDP copy, and educational content.
    • Brief and create sales aids for launch products and new science, and support medical team with Ad Board presentations and more as it relates to products and science.
    • Ensure content meets the Brand DNA.
    • Lead the compilation of the launch book, ensuring it's an effective tool for the market affiliates and relevant cross functional partners.

Strategic Meeting Management:
  • Support management meeting agendas for meetings. Ensure all relevant stakeholders are able and committed to attend.
  • Develop materials and ensure quality of those presented.

Job Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of related business experience.
  • 2+ years prior experience in Global Marketing and/or Product Development in consumer-packaged goods or beauty.
  • Action-Oriented: able to efficiently anticipate, execute, and keep momentum going on product development deliverables.
  • Demonstrated Time Management: ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure on-time delivery of project milestones.
  • Agile and Thoughtful Problem-Solver: flexibility to adjust plans and address challenges that may arise during the development process.
  • Skincare experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Labs on new products or renovations.
  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle.
  • Experience briefing and co-managing external creative agencies to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Proactive, ability to self-manage projects, ability to overcome obstacles independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • Presentation skills: ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through persuasive presentations.
  • Leadership skills: ability to demonstrate leadership within brand team and cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills (written and oral).
