Construction EstimatorJob Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing project plans, analyzing costs, and preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work both independently and collaboratively to support project planning and bidding efforts.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine scope of work 
  •  Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work 
  •  Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis 
  •  Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes 
  •  Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools 
  •  Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy 
  •  Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks within project plans 
  •  Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals before deadlines 
  •  Follow up on submitted bids and adjust estimates as needed 
Qualifications

  •  Previous experience in construction estimating preferred (or strong construction background) 
  •  Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and labor costs 
  •  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents 
  •  Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  •  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  •  Proficient in basic computer skills (Excel, email, estimating software a plus) 
  •  Strong communication and organizational skills 
  •  Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids 
Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  •  Familiarity with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc.) 
  •  Field experience in construction trades 
Schedule

  •  Full-time / Part-time available 
  •  Monday–Friday schedule 
  •  Occasional site visits or field review may be required 
Compensation

  •  $23-$26 per hour or salary based on experience 
  •  Opportunities for growth within the company 
  •  Performance-based bonuses may be available 
Work Environment

This is an in-office / hybrid position with occasional job site visits required.
