Transition Your Mechanical Expertise into the Future of Automation

Are you an experienced automotive technician who is tired of flat rate, dealership politics, and feeling undervalued? Apply your diagnostic skills to robotics and automation, one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.

At Prime Robotics, we recognize that great technicians come from industries where real diagnostic ability, mechanical intuition, and hands-on problem solving are developed over years of experience. If you're someone who enjoys figuring out why systems fail, improving reliability, and working with cutting-edge technology, this position will allow you to apply those same skills to advanced robotic systems operating in modern automated warehouses.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on technical role where you'll work directly with robotic fleets, diagnose electromechanical issues, support deployments, and collaborate with engineering teams to continuously improve our systems.

You wonโ€™t just maintain equipment, youโ€™ll help shape the future of automation.

Your Role on the Team

As a Robotics Technician, you will support the deployment, maintenance, and performance of Prime Roboticsโ€™ automation systems at customer sites. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to ensure robotic systems operate at peak efficiency.

Your work will directly impact system reliability, operational uptime, and customer success.

  • Work directly with customers to resolve operational issues in warehouse environments
  • Assist the sales team by supporting on-site demonstrations of robotic systems
  • Document system performance data and generate technical reports
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and document all system repairs
  • Work hands-on with electronics including soldering, wiring repair, and board-level troubleshooting
  • Administer Linux-based systems including Ubuntu environments, shell tools, and system interfaces
  • Use SQL queries and diagnostic tools to analyze system performance when required

What Makes You a Great Fit

You are someone who enjoys figuring out how systems work and solving difficult technical problems. You take pride in diagnosing complex issues and improving system reliability.

You likely have experience in fields such as:

  • Comfortable working with computer-based diagnostic software
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills when working with customers and engineering teams
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable working in warehouse and shop environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (~30%)

Nice to Have
