Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health
Location: Athens, AL
Position Overview
The Travel Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing services to patients in home health and community settings on a per-visit basis. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independence in the field, and effective communication with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled registered nursing care to patients on a per-visit basis in home health and community settings
  • Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Perform skilled nursing interventions including wound care, medication management, catheter care, and patient education
  • Accurately document all visits, assessments, and interventions in the electronic medical record
  • Communicate patient status, changes in condition, and care needs with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Adhere to agency policies, infection control standards, and applicable state and federal regulations
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, compact or state-specific as applicable
  • Minimum of one year of recent RN experience; home health experience strongly preferred
