New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Packer with RF Scanner Experience for a client located in [East Houston, TX] to join our team. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Pay: $17.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Summary: Responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment while utilizing RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail, productivity, and safety awareness.
Responsibilities
• Utilize RF scanners to pick, verify, and process orders accurately
• Pack products securely and efficiently according to company standards
• Inspect merchandise for damage, defects, or discrepancies before shipment
• Label, sort, and stage packages for shipping and distribution
• Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and warehouse management systems
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to supervisors
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as authorized
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse, packing, or order fulfillment experience required
• Experience using RF scanners required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
