Job description

Warehouse Selector

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 PM until finish. Must be available to work extended hours, additional shifts, and holidays as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately, consistently, and safely follow directions involving selecting products from pick tickets in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse environment.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Accurately identify and select cases of product from inventory locations.
  • Accurately pick, palletize, wrap, and scan orders using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Hand-stack products in a specific sequence and location on pallets for shipment.
  • Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
  • Return undelivered or incorrectly picked products to the proper inventory locations.
  • Transport products from storage areas to designated shipping areas within expected timeframes.
  • Follow all safety rules and help maintain a safe working environment.
  • Observe safe product-handling techniques and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Follow the company's attendance policy by reporting to work on time and completing scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently to perform job duties, including reading labels, pick lists, scanners, and signage
  • Understand oral and written instructions
  • Accurately completing shipping documents, reports, and records.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment as a selector operating powered equipment, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other MHE.
  • Experience with CK31 and CK71 scanners is a plus.
  • MHE and SQF certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments with temperatures ranging from 0°F to 36°F.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shift; repetitive twisting at the torso; lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory from shelves; and regularly lifting up to 100 pounds.
