This program is structured as a training experience. Participants remain on active duty and continue to receive pay and benefits from the Department of Defense during the program.

Why This Opportunity Matters

This program is designed to bridge military experience into civilian skilled trades careers. You will gain real, hands-on experience in a high-demand industry while building a foundation for long-term career growth.

What You Will Learn

During this program, participants will receive hands-on training in:

  • Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and job specifications
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, and installing steel rule
  • Assembling dies, strippers, and related tooling
  • Using hand tools and specialized equipment safely
  • Performing quality checks and inspections
  • Understanding production workflows and manufacturing processes
  • Identifying defects and supporting troubleshooting efforts

Training Structure

  • Safety training and shop fundamentals
  • Die making fundamentals and material handling
  • Assembly and tooling techniques
  • Intermediate die builds and repair work
  • Quality control and defect identification
  • Advanced exposure to production processes
  • Final evaluation through supervised die builds

Participants will gradually move from observation to hands-on contribution with increasing levels of independence.
