You turn raw footage into polished content. Your work may support product stories, campaigns, social posts, team updates, and leader messages. • Edit and version video for REI digital channels. Work may include product pages, social cutdowns, campaigns, and team messages.
  • Build clear stories through shot flow, pacing, music, graphics, color, sound, and final file delivery.
  • Join planning for shoots. Help shape story needs, shot lists, and post-production plans.
  • Work with producers, creative teams, studio leaders, freelance contributors, and outside edit teams. Keep work clear and on track.
  • Manage video files, metadata, naming, usage rights, and handoffs in asset tools.
  • Watch video tools and trends. Share useful ways to improve REI's workflow and final content.

Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of video editing experience. A mix of education and work experience that shows the same skills will also be considered.
  • B.F.A. in film, video production, photography, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong skill with Adobe Premiere. Adobe After Effects, simple motion graphics, or animation is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of video capture, audio capture, sound editing, color correction, grading, and file delivery.
  • Ability to create clear short- and medium-form video stories. You can adapt them for audience needs, tests, and results.
  • Strong project management, communication, care for details, and follow-through. Knowledge of outdoor customers and outdoor culture preferred. Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
