Job description

Job Title

Invenergy is North America's largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure. Responsibilities
  • Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, with a primary focus on the AVEVA PI System and associated data integrations.
  • Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms, including SCADA systems, DCSs, RTUs, PLCs, and other data sources.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex or unfamiliar OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
  • Administer and support AVEVA PI System components including, but not limited to PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, PI Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
  • Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
  • Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to implement infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
  • Design scalable and maintainable workarounds for system limitations.
  • Prepare technical and business justifications for infrastructure modernization and expansion.
  • Develop automation for system maintenance and custom telemetry feeds to third parties using Python, PowerShell, and.NET.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex PI System issues affecting performance, reliability, and data availability.
  • Maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions and integrations.
  • Support Operations Engineering through the development and maintenance of data pipelines, integrations, and automation solutions.
  • Maintain real-time data collection infrastructure in support of control center operations.
  • Lead onboarding activities for new project startups, including point definition, system configuration, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, including identifying and troubleshooting communication issues.
  • Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as.NET, PowerShell, and Python
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering PI Collectives and highly available PI System environments.
  • Experience with AVEVA Connect
  • Experience with relational database systems (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar technologies)
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Ovation, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with common industrial communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and OPC
  • Familiarity with industrial automation and integration devices such as SEL RTAC, OrionLX communication platforms, power meters, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with virtualized and cloud-based environments such as Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, AspenTech OSI Monarch, GE WindSCADA, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with supporting infrastructure technologies such as UPS systems, server hardware, and networking equipment

Base Pay $125,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 10% - 25% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
