Job description

Burrowes Insurance is looking for bright, talented, professional, Personal Lines sales-minded producers for our independent insurance agency.

Our Personal Lines Insurance Agent is responsible for selling Home, Auto, Flood, PUP & all P/L products to clients throughout the state of Florida. This role focuses on new business development through established referral relationships while building and maintaining a profitable book of business within the agency. The agent will partner with the agencys service team, which will manage policy servicing and renewals, allowing the agent to concentrate on sales and relationship development.

Responsibilities

Sell Personal Lines insurance products, including Homeowners and Automobile insurance, to Florida-based clients

Generate new business through existing referral sources such as Realtors, mortgage loan officers, and related professionals

Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions

Quote and bind policies using agency systems and carrier platforms

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with referral partners


Build, manage, and grow a personal book of business within the agency


Collaborate with the agencys customer service team, which will handle:


Policy endorsements and changes


Certificates and documentation requests


Renewal quoting and processing


Maintain compliance with Florida insurance regulations and agency standards


Participate in agency training and carrier updates as required


Support retention efforts through proactive client communication and relationship management


Requirements

Active Florida Property & Casualty insurance license (220/2044)

Experience selling Personal Lines insurance, specifically Home and Auto

Established referral relationships with Realtors, mortgage professionals, or similar sources (required)

Strong sales, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively


Customer-focused, ethical, and professional approach to sales


Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
