Job description

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer II to support a healthcare client located in Ohio. This candidate will be responsible for assisting with the campus network design, implementation, and ongoing support of network infrastructure hardware and software components. Approximately 30% of the time will be focused on network refresh projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and maintain campus wide wired and wireless network hardware and software
  • Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of technical solutions, ranging from local to enterprise wide deployments
  • Resolve network performance issues, manage network outages, and provide escalation support for technical teams
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams to deliver projects and maintain system uptime


Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering
  • Hands on experience working within an Cisco Catalyst network environment
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching (LAN/WAN, VLANs), wireless technologies, and network security standards
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), VLANs, and Cisco networking technologies
  • Highly self motivated and directed with attention to details
  • On call availability as part of a rotation schedule
