• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical capabilities to create personalized treatment plans that meet their specific goals and challenges.
• Deliver compassionate therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and application of modalities tailored to geriatric needs.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting every development and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists for holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on effective therapeutic techniques, home exercises, and strategies for injury prevention, ensuring they are empowered in their recovery journey.
• Implement proactive fall prevention and safety programs, enhancing patient safety within our assisted living community.

Your primary focus will be our geriatric clientele, who require specialized care and understanding. Many of our patients are dealing with age-related conditions such as arthritis, balance disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The aim is to foster an environment that not only addresses physical ailments but also respects the dignity and experiences of every patient, enabling them to thrive in their daily lives.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy is required; graduate degrees (Master’s or Doctorate) are preferred.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist is essential for practice.
• While experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, we encourage applications from recent graduates who possess a passion for working with the elderly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare providers.
