We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Mindful Essence Wellness. As part of our multidisciplinary PTOT team, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective therapy plans that enhance patient independence and overall quality of life.

Your role will take place onsite within our modern rehabilitation center, designed to foster a calm and healing atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our facility boasts a variety of treatment areas, including specialized zones for individual therapies and group sessions, all set in a welcoming environment conducive to rehabilitation. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with fellow therapists, nurses, and medical professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients through detailed assessments to identify their functional abilities and limitations.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans that align with each patient's unique physical and cognitive capabilities.
• Administering medically prescribed occupational therapy, employing a variety of interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Utilizing specialized equipment such as electrical stimulation devices, ultrasound machines, and adaptive tools to facilitate therapy sessions.
• Providing ongoing documentation pertaining to patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress assessments, ensuring compliance with Medicare documentation standards.
• Offering education to patients and families about postural control, body mechanics, and therapeutic exercises to encourage continuity of care at home.
• Regularly consulting with physicians and specialists to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

At Mindful Essence Wellness, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, accidents, neurological conditions, and chronic illnesses. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges, providing you with the opportunity to apply your skills in innovative ways to help them regain independence and confidence in their daily activities.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• A valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Connecticut, to be maintained throughout the duration of employment.
• Strong computer literacy for documentation and patient tracking, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and their families.

While not mandatory, we prefer candidates who have prior experience in a rehabilitation setting and are familiar with various therapeutic modalities. Experience with adaptive equipment and knowledge of current best practices in occupational therapy will be considered a plus, as will any additional certifications relevant to the field.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
