Job description

As we continue to expand our logistics network across key marketplaces, we are seeking a dependable Straight Truck Driver  to join our team in Clinton, PA. This role is essential to ensuring timely and efficient local freight deliveries, upholding our reputation for dependability and customer satisfaction. JOB DETAILS:  FULL TIME, MON - FRI, DAY SHIFT, $20.50-$21.50/HR.  PAID WEEKLY.  MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE/401K AFTER 90 DAYS.  PTO AVAILABLE

Responsibilities
  • Operate straight trucks safely and efficiently to transport freight between designated local locations.
  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards.
  • Handle local pickup and delivery (PUD) assignments; assistance from a lumper is provided when necessary.
  • Utilize provided equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies for loading and unloading cargo.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections as required.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company procedures to ensure safety on the road and at delivery sites.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating straight trucks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to load and unload cargo as required
