Our focus is on empowering individuals from various backgrounds—including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ populations, and immigrant groups—by offering personalized care that respects and honors their unique experiences. We pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative and inclusive workplace where each team member feels valued and supported.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, offering flexibility in scheduling while requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While standard hours are established, occasional adjustments may be necessary to accommodate clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adjusting techniques as necessary to meet the diverse cultural and emotional contexts of your clients.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address specific mental health concerns and promote positive coping strategies and resilience among clients.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide coordinated, comprehensive care and maintain a holistic approach to mental health.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services, responding effectively to emergencies and providing immediate support during mental health crises.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to foster empowerment and informed decision-making.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
  • Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating on best practices in cultural competency training.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, treatment methodologies, and best practices in mental health to provide the highest quality of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals from underserved populations, facing a variety of mental health challenges. This role allows you to leverage your cultural competencies to create a safe space for clients to express their concerns and goals, fostering a therapeutic alliance that is essential for positive outcomes.

  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of Texas.
  • A deep understanding of mental health disorders, demonstrated experience with evidence-based treatment approaches, and the ability to engage with clients from a culturally competent perspective.
  • Experience providing both individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive approaches that resonate with diverse populations.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, coupled with the ability to maintain composure and act decisively in challenging situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technological tools.
  • A commitment to ethical practices, maintaining professional boundaries, and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • An eagerness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with multicultural communities and an understanding of the specific mental health needs within those populations.
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for delivering therapy services, demonstrating adaptability to virtual care delivery.
  • Additional certifications or training in trauma-informed care, cultural competence, or specialized therapies can be a strong advantage.
