Florida-Licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist – Clinical Laboratory – Tampa, FL


Applicants must currently hold a valid Florida Clinical Laboratory license.

Only Florida-licensed clinical laboratory professionals will be considered.


We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Florida-licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist who values accuracy, quality, and patient care. Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Tech will perform quality bench work, run patient samples on multiple instruments, review and report laboratory results, perform quality control, and help support daily laboratory operations. Testing areas may include hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, special chemistry, serology, microbiology and molecular testing (RT PCR).


Minimum Requirement

Applicants must currently hold a valid Florida Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required for the testing performed.

Applications from candidates who do not meet the Florida licensure requirement cannot be considered.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Beckman Coulter and Sysmex analyzers is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn new instruments, methods, and laboratory procedures.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and patient testing standards.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Perform and report laboratory testing in the assigned departments.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation according to SOPs.
  • Perform, interpret, document, and release results according to SOPs.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Review results for accuracy, flags, critical values, and required follow-up.
  • Call and document critical results according to laboratory policy.
  • Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, quality, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Perform other laboratory tasks and special projects as assigned.

Our team is small, the pace is fast, and quality patient care is always the priority. Schedule

This is a full-time second-shift position.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m. to approximately 10:00–11:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays.


Compensation

Pay range: $25–$40/hour, depending on experience, licensure, skill level, and demonstrated performance.


Bonuses may be available for excellent performance.

401(k) retirement plans are available.

Health insurance is not currently offered.
