Job description

About the Role

This is a hands-on consumer growth role at an early-stage ambient AI startup, owning acquisition and retention from US beta launch through scale. You'll report to the GM & Head of Product, US, working directly with product, engineering, and globally distributed R&D teams to shape what gets built based on real conversion data and user feedback.

What You'll Do
  • Design and execute a multi-channel beta-to-launch funnel—covering founder outreach, community platforms, Product Hunt, and Hacker News—and measure conversion by channel.

  • Run experiments to identify which growth loops compound, then reallocate effort based on what's converting.

  • Sequence and prioritize launch channels, deciding what runs in parallel versus in order and how to pace based on data.

  • Build and own the first 90 days: a working beta funnel converting into engaged testers, a clean product launch execution, and a repeatable growth playbook.

  • Talk directly to users, do the unglamorous launch work yourself, and feed market insights into product decisions as an upstream stakeholder.

  • Coordinate with a global branding and marketing team while owning campaign execution in the US market.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years owning consumer product launches end-to-end at early-stage startups (seed to Series B), including positioning, waitlist/referral mechanics, and first-week retention loops.

  • Demonstrated ability to grow consumer products from zero awareness using push-distribution channels—founder-led outreach, community seeding, organic—without relying on paid acquisition.

  • Track record designing, running, and measuring multi-channel beta-to-launch funnels with data-driven channel sequencing.

  • Experience analyzing funnel metrics by channel (cold vs. warm traffic, referral multipliers, activation and retention rates) and reallocating resources accordingly.

  • Prior experience as a 0→1 hire or founding team member, comfortable setting your own priorities and building operational playbooks from scratch.

  • Direct hands-on experience launching products on Product Hunt and/or Hacker News.

  • Fluency in community-led and product-led growth (PLG) models, including Reddit, Discord, and niche community seeding.

  • Background in consumer AI or hardware-adjacent startups is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with referral and waitlist tooling (e.g., Viral Loops, Waitlist.co) and beta listing platforms (e.g., Betabound, AppSumo).

  • Understanding of US consumer trust dynamics around internationally-originated products and strategies to address transparency concerns.

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is a plus.
