Job description

Volunteer with Acterra for the 2026 East Bay Green@Home Tour!

The Green@Home Tour is an opportunity for East Bay residents to showcase the electric upgrades they made to their home to help assist and inspire local community members to make similar changes and phase out fossil fuel use. 19 homes from Alameda to Berkeley will open their doors on Saturday, June 6, from 11am-3pm so that East Bay residents can come inside and ask about their experience with electric and green upgrades. The homeowners will be busy fielding questions from people stopping by, so we are requesting volunteers to help make the event go smoothly. The main tasks for volunteers:

  • Help homeowner with event setup and teardown (setting up a table of resources, adding signage around the house to facilitate navigation
  • Make sure that attendees sign in (most important info to get is First Name and email)

No qualifications necessary! It's helpful to have knowledge about home electrification, but the important thing is securing volunteers who care about the environment and bring a positive and engaging attitude.

If this sounds interesting, please fill out our Volunteer Form so that we can assign you a Tour Host to help as soon as possible.

Acterra is a local environmental nonprofit with the goal of providing equitable climate solutions for the Bay Area community, and one Acterra's main pillars includes Beneficial Electrification (EV and Electric Home Upgrades).
