The Opportunity

We're looking for an Intermediate Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions for utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects across North America. Working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, you'll support projects from conceptual design through construction while applying practical engineering solutions to complex technical challenges.

What You'll Do
  • Design and analyze steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations, and other structural systems
  • Perform civil engineering design for site preparation, grading, earthworks, drainage, and retaining walls
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
  • Apply Canadian engineering codes, standards, and safety-in-design principles throughout the design process
  • Complete structural analysis using STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; experience with RISA or similar software is an asset
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage assigned engineering deliverables while meeting project schedules and budgets
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, where appropriate
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and design practices

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 4-8 years of relevant civil and/or structural engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Experience designing steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations, and equipment supports
  • Experience with industrial civil and structural engineering projects
  • Proficiency with STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; experience with RISA or other structural analysis software is an asset
  • Familiarity with civil site development, grading, earthworks, and drainage design
  • Experience working in an EPC or consulting engineering environment is considered an asset
  • Experience supporting high-voltage substation, utility, or other infrastructure projects is considered an asset
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Expected annual salary: $80,000-$120,000 (actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and current market conditions.)
