Job description

Job Description We are seeking a Senior Structural/Civil Engineer or Structural/Civil Engineering group Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and managing infrastructure projects for government clients, with a strong background in building design or highway design or bridge design. As part of our team, you will oversee and guide a group of engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile projects in compliance with governmental standards and regulations.

This is a leadership role in which you will manage a team of engineers, provide technical guidance, and lead structural design efforts. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our structural/Civil engineering projects, particularly for government infrastructure Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of structural engineers, ensuring optimal performance, professional development, and project success. Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of government-funded building or bridge projects, from design through to construction, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Design Oversight: Provide high-level technical leadership on structural design solutions for government infrastructure, particularly for buildings and bridges. Ensure adherence to industry codes and regulatory standards. Client Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for government clients, working closely to understand project needs, provide updates, and address concerns.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, construction managers, and other engineers, to ensure seamless project delivery. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control processes to ensure that designs meet both technical specifications and government regulations. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project designs and manage changes as necessary.

Business Development: Support the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities for government infrastructure projects, contributing to proposals, and strengthening client relationships.Key Requirements: Professional Engineer (PE) License is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on government projects, including either building or highway or bridge design. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing teams of engineers, including mentoring junior staff and overseeing project teams

Experience in a managerial or director role is preferred. Project Experience: Experience managing complex government infrastructure projects, ensuring that design, construction, and compliance meet required standards. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.

A Master's degree is a plus. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, RISA) and a deep understanding of government regulations and codes for building and bridge design. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to approach complex structural challenges in innovative ways. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with government contracting and compliance. Experience in business development, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
