A work-from-home game localization specialist is a professional who adapts video games for different regions and languages while working remotely. To thrive as a From Home Game Localization Specialist, you need advanced language proficiency in both the source and target languages, cultural awareness, and experience with translation or localization, often supported by a degree in linguistics or translation. Familiarity with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, localization management systems, and sometimes gaming platforms is typically required. Attention to detail, strong time management, and effective communication with remote teams are crucial soft skills.
