In other words, we’re serious about helping people and formulating the most effective skincare possible, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, US Communications, will develop and manage tactics that ladder up to the brand’s longstanding influencer strategy to increase our brand awareness. This includes expanding and deepening influencer relationships across existing and emerging platforms, targeting new categories of influencers, and working cross-functionally to include influencers in events, mailings, paid content and retailer moments. The Senior Manager will rely on industry relationships, but also analytics, to inform and develop tactics to meet our goals and KPIs. The ideal candidate will be hungry to build relationships, an expert in all-things social and passionate about making Drunk Elephant the most buzzed-about skincare brand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Influencers:

  • Earned:
    • You will foster strategic relationships with influencers and agents, sharing Tiffany’s story and Drunk Elephant philosophy
    • You will research emerging platforms to scale influencer outreach
    • You will develop strategy around additional influencer categories outside traditional “beauty influencers” i.e. makeup artists, derms, estheticians, celebrities, etc.
    • You will partner with trade marketing and retailers to engage retailer-specific influencers
  • Paid:
    • You will act as subject matter expert on paid content- including changes in social platforms that will impact how paid content performs, creators that perform well in paid, how emerging platforms work in paid, etc.
    • You will partner with Executive Director to develop briefs for paid initiatives and work with cross-functional partners in Global/US Marketing, Paid Media and Social Media to ensure brand messaging is cohesive
    • You will negotiate contracts for paid opportunities
    • You will develop holistic paid/earned strategy

Media Relations & Strategy:

  • You will develop US press strategies for breakthrough brand storytelling
  • You will maintain proactive relationships with top-tier beauty editors, journalists, and other industry contacts
  • You will manage media lists and press outreach. Secure high-impact earned coverage across print, digital, and broadcast media

Events:

  • You will develop influencer activations in tandem with Global Communications to aid in increasing brand awareness during key launch moments
  • You will create activation strategy around core/ during non-launch moments to maintain momentum/conversation in influencer space

Reporting:

  • You will help establish KPIs
  • You will analyze Tribe reporting for areas of opportunity; react proactively ahead of trends and prepare strategy to continue conversation during non-launch moments
  • You will apply trends in and out of beauty to strategy
  • You will communicate up to executives notable trends, up-and-coming creators or emerging platforms and how to keep our brand top of mind
  • You will prepare reporting on paid tactics

Forecasting and Budget:

  • You will develop annual product forecasts
  • You will be responsible for tracking budgets

Administrative Support:

  • You will assist in creating engaging multi-media presentations for global brand meetings, conferences and executives.
  • You will help increase departmental efficiencies by implementing new processes (tracking system, forecasts, etc.)

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have 5-8 years of experience in Influencer Engagement, Communications/PR and/or Social Media
  • You have experience with influencer management platforms i.e. Tribe Dynamics and office tools i.e. Microsoft Office suite
  • You ideally have strong relationships within the industry including beauty editors, influencers/influencer agencies, makeup artists, etc.
  • You have passion for beauty, fluency in social media platforms and trends

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
