Job Description
This should be an onsite QA Tester with strong functional testing and data validation experience.
This resource should have 5-7 years of overall QA/testing experience, including 2-3 years of experience in eCommerce, catalog validation, master data, product data, vehicle data, fleet, dealer, parts, or customer-facing application testing.
Role Summary
The tester will support Fleet eCommerce and VIN catalog validation, with responsibility for validating both application functionality and underlying data accuracy. This role requires a tester who can verify that fleet customers, dealers, or internal users can correctly search, view, select, and transact using the right VIN-based catalog information.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support testing and validation of Fleet eCommerce application functionality.
Validate VIN catalog data accuracy, completeness, mapping, and usability within the application.
Verify that VIN-based search, vehicle identification, parts/catalog lookup, eligibility, pricing, availability, and related data are displayed correctly.
Perform application validation across user workflows such as search, browse, product selection, cart, checkout, order submission, and confirmation where applicable.
Validate data integration between Fleet eCommerce, VIN catalog, product catalog, pricing, inventory, dealer, parts, and backend systems.
Compare application results against source data, catalog rules, business rules, and expected system behavior.
Identify and document data defects, mapping issues, missing catalog attributes, incorrect VIN associations, incorrect product fitment, or application defects.
Create and execute test scenarios and test cases covering functional, integration, data validation, regression, and UAT testing.
Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, data teams, developers, and QA Leads to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
Support sprint testing, defect retesting, regression testing, and release validation.
Ensure traceability from business requirements and user stories to test cases, defects, and validation results.
Provide clear status updates on validation progress, risks, blockers, and data quality concerns.
Experience Required
5-7 years of software QA/testing experience.
2-3 years of experience in eCommerce, catalog validation, master data validation, product data, parts catalog, VIN/vehicle data, fleet, dealer, or customer-facing application testing.
Strong experience in application testing, data validation, integration testing, regression testing, and defect management.
Ability to validate front-end application behavior against backend data and business rules.
Experience testing search, catalog lookup, product fitment, pricing, availability, order flow, or customer/dealer-facing workflows.
Ability to analyze data discrepancies and distinguish between application defects, data quality issues, mapping issues, configuration issues, and business rule gaps.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint testing, user story review, acceptance criteria validation, and backlog refinement.
Strong SQL or backend data validation experience is preferred.
Automotive, fleet, dealer portal, parts, service, warranty, VIN, or aftermarket domain experience would be highly preferred.
Ability to work onsite at Lisle 4 days per week is mandatory.
