Job description

Are you a passionate educator with a deep commitment to fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning? Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn is seeking a Montessori Lead Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a lasting impact on young learners.
About Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn
At MKU Bannockburn, we provide a high-quality, authentic Montessori education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Our nurturing and engaging environment allows children to explore, grow, and develop through hands-on learning experiences. As a Montessori Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding children toward independence and success while fostering a warm and collaborative classroom culture.
Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership & Teaching
● Lead a Montessori-prepared environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
● Plan and implement Montessori lessons and activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners.
● Ensure the classroom is organized, safe, and well-prepared with age-appropriate materials.
● Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and self-confidence.
● Maintain a normalized classroom, ensuring children have opportunities to develop coordination, concentration, independence, and order.
Parent & Community Engagement
● Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about student progress.
● Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide progress reports to discuss child development.
● Collaborate with parents and staff to create a supportive learning environment at school and at home.
Staff Development & Team Collaboration
● Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers, ensuring a cohesive teaching team.
● Collaborate with staff members to create enriching curriculum experiences.
● Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Compliance & Safety
● Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Montessori accreditation standards.
● Maintain student records and progress documentation.
● Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures to provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Qualifications
● **Montessori Certification **from an accredited Montessori training center desired - willing to train.
● Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
● Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Must be eligible to work in the United States.
● CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
