Summary of Responsibility:
As a Swiss CNC Machinist, you will use your technical skills to identify and provide dependable solutions for our diverse customer base. Managing customer projects, demonstrations, and other customer related questions to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The Swiss CNC Machinist is the first line of support for our customer experience. The person filling this role is responsible for handling multiple high-level technical tasks that surround the use and implementation of CAM software, CNC Machining of complex parts, and working on multi Axis CNC Machines. The Engineer will also work with pre-sales to assist on quotes for customers application. Being flexible to work on multiple tasks at one time.

What You Will Contribute:

  • Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget

    • Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal

    • Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines

    • Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.

    • Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications

    • Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance is mandatory.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing

    • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company

    • Experience working on Star, Citizen, or Tsugami machines.

    • Knowledge of Fanuc based controls, 5-axis experience is a plus

    • Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferred but not required.

    • Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
