Job description

We are seeking a Tool & Prototype Maker responsible for preventive maintenance, repair of support equipment, and overall tool room operations. This role involves manufacturing engineered prototype parts, precision tools, jigs, molds, and dies using various materials such as metals, alloys, plastics, and ceramics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and precision measurement techniques.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily tool room operations and ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications for tool fabrication
  • Operate and program 3 & 5-axis CNC machines, including Hurco, Mitsubishi Wire EDM, Amada Turret Punch Press, and Press Brake
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks) for inspection
  • Build, repair, and modify jigs, fixtures, molds, and dies
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and support production teams
  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks) and CAM tools (Mastercam) for design and programming
  • Select materials based on machining, heat treatment, and wear properties

Qualifications:
