Job Summary:

The Digital Finishing Technician is responsible for performing finishing and/or bindery steps necessary to complete an order in an efficient per Imagine standards and procedures. Operations that may fall under the Digital Finishing Technician role include laser table, CNC, Router, Zund, laminator, weeding, Gromet, welder, Packsize, Wide Format and Rollfed.


Various Shifts Available:

3rd: 11:30 pm - 8:00 am

1st: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

1st: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

2nd: 3:30pm - 12:00am


Job Description:

  • Review and understand all job ticket information.
  • Set up adjust and operate Router, CNC, Zund, and other Finishing equipment according to established procedures.
  • Ability to operate a CNC machine and Router equipment
  • Set up adjust and operate a Router according to established procedures
  • Complete equipment standard set up and adjustments as needed.
  • Cut product to final size/shape by operating finishing equipment.
  • Monitor output quality, including data collection for job tracking, and report issues as appropriate.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance to finishing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Router and CNC equipment.
  • Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager and other Team Members to address opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a 5s throughout the Digital area
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction.
  • A positive attitude including high energy, and a drive to contribute and make an impact.
  • Able to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects
  • May need to move material via material handling equipment (may entail use of forklift/pallet jacks)
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • High school diploma or equivalent, four years relevant industry experience or experience as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time.
  • Previous CNC operation, digital finishing, router, print production, and or bindery experience preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • Previous experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment.
  • Experience using an ERP system.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color.
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.

The national pay range for this role is listed below. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
