Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. POSITION SUMMARY: 

Support the manufacturing of complex A&D components through the development of specialized coding utilizing software like Catia and Vericut. Additional, support the creation of Machining Fixture Aids and Set-Up Documentation to ensure that a compliant part is manufactured, meeting both specifications and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create CNC Programs 3 and 4 axis CNC equipment, utilize Vericut and simulation software to prove out G-Code to avoid collisions/ crashes.
  • Use best programming techniques for optimum approaches and cycle times. Request support if needed.
  • Prepare set-up sheets / documentation for each project.
  • Well organized programming folders.
  • Support machinist as needed on the Shop Floor with Edits and select feeds and speeds.
  • Review Post Processed G code, upload and save CNC proven programs, from and to the equipment.
  • Review Blueprints / Models and GD&T tolerances, while programming and selecting proper tools.
  • Design and create machining fixture Aids required to machine the part.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School,Trade School Certification or College preferred
  • 1 to 5 years' experience in A&D environment required
  • Must have 3+ years' experience in 3-4 axis CNC Programming for a Level I position
  • CATIA V5 , Hypermill Feature Cam, programming preferred
  • Knowledge of Vericut software a plus
  • Knowledge of Okuma OSP 300; Fanuc i31: Mazatrol; Siemens 840D controllers
  • Minimum 5 years' experience setting up CNC Machines
  • Must have a basic understanding of GD&T, Blueprint reading
  • Time Management and Organization "own the project assigned from start to finish"
  • Support Production by following processes and procedures
  • Communicate and collaborate with Engineers and Machinist as needed
  • Familiarity with AS9100 rev D
  • Microsoft  proficiency (Word, Excel )
  • Capable of adhering to internal Quality of Business Management Systems procedures
  • Ability to speak/read/write English
  • Must have a can do attitude and be professional, strive for continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties, as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office/Programming cubicles, plus Machine Shop environment
  • Fast paced, people and parts movement
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to medium
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment is always required in the Machine Shop

SALARY RANGE: 


Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $ 27.00 - $ 32.00 /hr
