Description
The Lake Forest Recreation Department is looking for qualified baseball coaches for its White (House League) baseball program. This position will report to the Athletics Program Supervisor. Professional head coaches are needed for each grade level; 5th/6th and 7th/8th.
Practices and home games will be conducted in Lake Forest. Practices will be 1.5 hours and games will be 2 hours in duration. Teams will meet for practice 2-3 times a week. Coaches will also run the Sunday morning preseason clinics at the Lake Forest Recreation Center gym for grades 1st - 6th from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Season Information
  • Preseason Clinic: Jan.18th - March 15th
  • Spring: Early April - Early June

  • Able to coach youth players and be a positive role model.
  • Have an organized practice and game plan for every event.
  • Follow all City of Lake Forest employee policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures the safety of the participants.
  • Responds to participants and parent concerns/inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Take care of any team equipment.

Qualifications
  • Coached baseball before or have playing experience (High School/College).
  • Strong knowledge of the game.
  • Able to provide own transportation to practices and games.
