JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist / ERM Program Coordinator supports the Chief Risk Officer in the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Program. This position serves as a key member of the Bank's second line of defense and is responsible for coordinating enterprise-wide risk management activities, facilitating risk assessments, maintaining risk reporting, monitoring corrective action plans, and promoting a strong risk culture throughout the organization.
In addition to ERM responsibilities, this position provides support to the Compliance and Risk Management functions through special project assignments, including Fair Lending analyses, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) assessments, Quality Control (QC) reviews, regulatory monitoring, policy administration, and examination preparation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Program.
  • Maintain the enterprise risk inventory and risk/control documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across all business units.
  • Assist management in identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating strategic, operational, credit, compliance, liquidity, reputation, and emerging risks.
  • Monitor adherence to the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement and established risk limits.
  • Develop and maintain Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and risk dashboards.
  • Prepare risk analysis, trend reports, and executive-level risk summaries.
  • Coordinate issue management activities with the Audit Liaison and monitor remediation of audit, examination, and compliance findings.
  • Assist with enterprise-wide risk reporting for management committees, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Maintain ERM program documentation, policies, procedures, and committee records.
  • Support implementation of risk governance frameworks and risk management best practices.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND SPECIAL PROJECTS
Fair Lending Support
  • Assist in conducting Fair Lending analyses and exception monitoring.
  • Compile and validate lending data used for Fair Lending reviews.
  • Assist with comparative file reviews and trend analysis.
  • Prepare supporting reports, dashboards, heat maps, and management summaries.
  • Monitor corrective action plans resulting from Fair Lending reviews.

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Support
  • Support preparation of CRA Performance Context and self-assessment reports.
  • Assist with geographic and demographic lending analyses.
  • Monitor CRA-qualified loans, investments, and service activity.
  • Support CRA examination preparation and documentation.

Quality Control Reviews
  • Perform quality control reviews of loan files, deposit accounts, and operational processes.
  • Document findings, exceptions, and recommendations.
  • Track remediation efforts and perform validation testing.
  • Assist with monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Other Compliance Support
  • Support regulatory change management processes.
  • Assist with examination and audit requests.
  • Conduct targeted compliance testing projects as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects involving new products, services, third-party risk, and operational initiatives.

RISK GOVERANCE AND REPORTING
  • Prepare materials for Management Risk Committee, Audit Committee, and Board meetings.
  • Assist with development of enterprise risk scorecards and dashboards.
  • Monitor key regulatory, operational, and strategic risk indicators.
  • Coordinate annual risk assessments and periodic updates.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of action tracking systems.
RISK CULTURE AND TRAINING
  • Promote a strong culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the Bank.
  • Assist with development and delivery of risk management and compliance training.
  • Communicate ERM concepts and methodologies to management and business units.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide risk awareness initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics, Banking, or related field.
  • Minimum of five to eight (5 -8) years of experience in banking, risk management, compliance, audit, credit administration.
  • Experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Fair Lending, CRA, or Quality Control.
  • Experience preparing board and executive-level reports.
  • Knowledge of the Three Lines of Defense model.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends and emerging risks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports suitable for executive management, boards of directors, auditors, and regulators.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard development preferred.
