About This Role

The Teacher Assistant is a vital member of our team, playing a key role in creating a nurturing environment for our children and supporting the implementation of a quality educational program. This individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. By observing and documenting children's interests and progress, the Teacher Assistant helps foster positive relationships with parents and staff, while also contributing to the development of individualized activities tailored to each child's needs under the direction of the Teacher and Director.


What You'll Do
  • Engage in activities to encourage participation and enthusiasm from our young learners.
  • Ensure a clean, well-maintained, and organized classroom environment by managing materials and supplies.
  • Build strong relationships with parents through regular, informal discussions and timely progress reports.
  • Model positive behavior to promote self-help and good hygiene among our children.
  • Assist in smooth daily transitions from home to our child care center.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and continuously improve quality of care.

Requirements
  • Must pass health screening.
  • Fire Safety Certification.
  • Must clear full background check.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • High energy.
