About This Role
Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the center’s meal plan.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe surfaces, empty trash, and maintain overall cleanliness.
  • Sanitize tables, toys, high-touch surfaces, and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and properly storing food and cleaning supplies.
  • Monitor cleaning and kitchen supplies and report when items need to be replenished.
  • Follow daily cleaning schedules and center procedures.
  • Support the center team with additional cleaning, kitchen, or classroom needs when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working around children, families, and staff.
  • Follow all BAMS Enrichment Academy policies, safety procedures, and childcare regulations.

What You'll Do
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen work, cleaning, childcare, or a similar setting preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, responsible, and hardworking.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
  • Comfortable working around young children in a childcare environment.
  • Must be willing to complete required background checks and training.
  • Food safety training/certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, carry, bend, reach, and perform routine cleaning and kitchen duties.
