Have experience working with HVAC, plumbing, appliances, mechanical equipment, or field service?
Your skills may transfer directly to what we do.
Auto-Chlor System is hiring a Mechanical Field Service & Installation Technician to install commercial dishwashing and sanitation equipment for restaurants and commercial kitchens throughout the Indianapolis area.
No commercial dishwasher experience required.
We'll provide comprehensive training on Auto-Chlor equipment. We're looking for someone who already brings strong mechanical ability, troubleshooting experience, and confidence working with tools.

  • Use hand and power tools daily
  • Test equipment and verify proper operation
  • Complete installations independently in the field
  • Communicate with customers throughout the installation
  • Train restaurant staff on equipment operation
  • Explain basic cleaning and preventive care

Some installations are relatively straightforward. Others require you to assess the environment, identify a problem, and determine the best solution.
That's why previous troubleshooting experience matters.

We do expect you to already be comfortable:
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Understanding basic mechanical systems
  • Diagnosing why something isn't working correctly
  • Completing hands-on repairs or installations
  • Working independently
  • Learning new equipment and processes

We train you on Auto-Chlor equipment. You bring the mechanical foundation.
Pay & Benefits
  • $56,000-$65,000 first-year earnings, including overtime and on-call pay
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Paid holidays
  • Up to 80 hours of vacation during your first year
  • Ongoing training and career advancement

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in restaurant/commercial kitchen environments
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 7-8 weeks
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and training them on basic equipment operation

If you're looking to take your mechanical experience into a new industry, we'll teach you our equipment while you put the skills you already have to work.
