We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable AV Sales Representative to join our team and help grow our customer base while delivering exceptional client experiences.
Position Overview
As an AV Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and closing sales for residential and commercial AV systems. You'll work closely with designers, project managers, and installers to deliver complete solutions-from initial consultation through installation.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new leads through networking, outreach, and inbound inquiries
• Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotes, and product demos
• Educate clients on AV technologies including home automation, lighting control, distributed audio/video, security, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Control4, Savant, Elan, Lutron, Sonos, etc.)
• Collaborate with project management and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process
• Stay up to date on industry trends, products, and technology developments
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in AV sales, consumer electronics, or custom integration
• Strong understanding of AV and smart home technologies (residential and/or commercial)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to conduct site visits and build trust with clients
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Proficiency in CRM software and basic proposal tools (e.g., iPoint, D-Tools, Salesforce...)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling Control4, Crestron, Elan, Savant, QSC, or Lutron systems
• Familiarity with construction plans and system design documentation
