  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their symptoms effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journeys.

  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma around mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily support individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, providing them with essential resources and therapeutic support to navigate their challenges. This role is vital for fostering resilience and facilitating long-term recovery for our clients.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong, trusting relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently manage your caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in working with diverse client populations, particularly those affected by mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and DBT, is preferred.
  • Background in advocating for mental health issues within the community is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, retirement plans, and health insurance.
  • Access to opportunities for continuing education and professional development to enhance your skills in addiction counseling and other specialties.
  • A collaborative workplace culture with ongoing support and resources to help you succeed in your role.
  • The chance to make a lasting impact on individuals' lives by supporting their recovery journeys and improving mental health outcomes.
