oย ย ย  Facility offers DX, CT and US Imaging

oย ย ย  Radius rule: Travelerโ€™s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

oย ย ย  US Tech: Proficient in scanning General: adult and pediatric patients; Vascular: venous and arterial; Small Parts: thyroid, testicles, soft tissue; Peds: pylorus, intussusception, appendix; OB - more Eary OB, but limited 2nd & 3rd trimester

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support within the Department:

oย ย ย  Supervisor โ€“ M-F dayshift โ€“ on site between Harrisburg and Kannapolis FSEDs

oย ย ย  No radiologist on site โ€“ scans read remotely (to include overnight)

oย ย ย  Typically, 2-3 technologists within radiology are staffed during the same shift.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  1st Shift: (1) US Tech, (2) Dual DX/CT techs

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  3rd shift: (1) 1 US Tech and (1) Dual DX/CT Tech

      • Department specific Equipment:
        • GE CT Scanner 16 slice scanner optima 540

        • Shimadzu XR portable and Philips XR roomย

    • DX/CT Tech must take 2 days a month of call (3) 12 hr shifts for Harrisburg and Kannapolis FSEDs (20-25 min apart)
