Job description

Job Title: Brick Mason
Location: Columbus, OH and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: $28.00 $33.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Summit Skilled Solutions is currently seeking experienced Brick Masons to perform commercial masonry work throughout the Columbus, Ohio area. This role requires strong hands-on experience with both brick and block installation. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of producing high-quality work while maintaining production pace.

This is a long-term opportunity for skilled masons looking for steady work with competitive pay.

Brick Masons Key Responsibilities

  • Lay brick, block, and other masonry materials according to layout and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Construct walls, partitions, chimneys, foundations, and other structural components
  • Mix mortar and ensure proper consistency and bonding
  • Measure and cut materials to maintain accurate alignment and level courses
  • Set block and brick to line and grade
  • Install lintels, anchors, flashing, and reinforcement materials as required
  • Repair and replace damaged brick and block structures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety regulations

Brick Masons Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of brick and block masonry experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential masonry practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Columbus
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Brick Masons Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial construction projects
  • Experience working with scaffolding and lifts
  • Own basic masonry hand tools

Brick Masons Compensation/Benefits

  • $28-$33/hr
