Our client, a premier food company with customers nationwide is seeking an experiencedFresh Produce Promotion Specialist.
Job Summary
The Fresh Produce Promotion Specialist supports retail customers by driving profitable produce sales, providing merchandising expertise, and acting as a liaison between the company and stores. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with knowledge of produce operations and merchandising best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular store visits to support produce sales growth and provide member guidance.
  • Analyze departmental financials, operations, and competitor strategies; provide actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement produce merchandising plans, including allocation programs and plan-o-grams.
  • Assist with weekly ad planning by coordinating with members, vendors, department managers, and buyers.
  • Monitor inventory, quality control, and warehouse program compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, sanitation standards, and federal/state regulations (FDA).
  • Utilize technology and the Flawless Execution method to track and report results.
Requirements:
  • Retail grocery and fresh produce experience required; degree not required. Equivalent experience in produce merchandising considered.
  • 2 + years' experience marketing, promoting, merchandising or selling fresh produce products to retail grocery stores & grocery wholesalers.
  • Provide professional appearance and provide positive company image to the public.
  • Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational reports.
  • Excellent communication skills for presentations and reports.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to regional store locations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, stand, walk, stoop, climb, and perform hands-on merchandising activities.
  • Work occurs in stores, including freezers, coolers, and around heavy machinery.
  • Possess a valid driver's license as this position requires some overnight travel.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future.
