Job Description Process Specialist - Decatur, ILThis is a full-time Non-Exempt positionGeneralThe GBS PTC Process Specialist is a key role within the Global Business Services organization, responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of purchase, sales, and freight settlement transactions across multiple locations. This position serves as a subject matter resource for ARTCo PTC settlement processes and requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and business functions. The Process Specialist will leverage a strong understanding of ARTCo, IBM, Agris, JDE, MDM, and related business processes to research and resolve complex transactions and discrepancies. The Process Specialist works closely with the GBS Settlement Manager/Supervisor, Commercial, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Credit, Collections, and other cross-functional partners to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, training, and project activities that improve service delivery, controls, and overall business performance.ExperienceAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferredPrevious experience in settlement, accounting, finance, commodity operations, or a related business function preferredAdvanced working knowledge of ARTCo, IBM, Agris, JDE, MDM, and Microsoft ExcelExperience working with multiple systems, data sources, and system interfacesFamiliarity with NGFA Trade Rules preferredExperience identifying and resolving transactional or system-related issues preferredJob RequirementsStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skillsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyAbility to research complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutionsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and business partnersAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to clearly communicate issues, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated ability to work effectively during month-end and other time-sensitive processing periodsStrong customer-service mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across the organizationCommitment to compliance, internal controls, process integrity, and continuous improvementDemonstrated ability to adapt to changing processes, systems, and business requirementsResponsibilitiesAcurately and timely process purchase, sales, and freight transactions associated with ARTCo activitiesEnter, validate, and reconcile transactions in ARTCo and other applicable systemsResearch, identify, and resolve complex transaction discrepancies, settlement variances, and system issuesMonitor system interfaces and investigate errors, data inconsistencies, and processing exceptionsEnsure transactions and processes comply with company policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable business rulesProvide responsive and professional customer service to Commercial, Accounting, Operations, and other business partnersRespond to inquiries and requests in a timely manner and provide clear, accurate information and resolutionCollaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Commercial, Credit, Collections, and PTC team members to resolve issues and improve processesSupport month-end close activities by ensuring transactions are accurately completed and outstanding issues are resolved timelyServe as a subject matter resource for assigned processes and provide guidance to team members as neededProvide training, coaching, and process support to team members to promote consistency and knowledge sharingIdentify process gaps, control risks, and opportunities for increased efficiency and automationRecommend and implement process improvements and best practices that improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer serviceParticipate in projects and process initiatives by providing business and process expertiseSupport process documentation, standardization, and knowledge-transfer activitiesPartner with project teams and stakeholders to develop solutions that are consistent, scalable, and sustainableAssist with testing and implementation of system enhancements, process changes, and automation initiativesPromote a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen processesExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed? REF:112779BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
