We are seeking self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable employees to join our Freight Department at our Logan store. As a member of the Al's team, you'll play a key role in keeping our store organized, stocked, and running smoothly. You'll help create an efficient and safe backroom environment while ensuring products make it to the sales floor quickly and accurately.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Responsibilities include unloading freight trucks, processing and organizing incoming merchandise, picking and locating products from the back room to replenish the sales floor, and maintaining a clean, orderly freight area. Accuracy, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential in this position.
You'll work with top brands in the industry such as Hoka, Hoyt, HydroJug, K2, La Sportiva, Nike, Osprey, Sitka, The North Face, and Vortex, while enjoying employee-only discounts and exclusive vendor deals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading truck deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Managing the movement and storage of incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Processing shipments and verifying quantities for accuracy.
  • Using technology to locate products on the sales floor and in back stock areas.
  • Picking and locating products from the back room to replenish the sales floor.
  • Recording, monitoring, and maintaining accurate freight and inventory records.
  • Tracking and updating storage locations to ensure organization and efficiency.
  • Keeping the freight room clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Following company safety procedures and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Staying self-motivated and maintaining productivity throughout your shift.
  • Supporting other departments as needed to help the store run smoothly.

Qualifications
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work major sale events and most weekends.
  • Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work with a team on group projects.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Previous retail, warehouse, or freight experience is a plus but not required.

    • What is the schedule for this job?
    • This is a Day Shift Position.
      Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, Monday through Saturday. All shifts are scheduled between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM, in 4- to 8-hour blocks.
      Part-time positions typically total 18-29 hours per week, while full-time positions range from 35-40 hours per week.
      Rotating Saturdays and holidays are required.
