Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried)


Salary: $47K- $78K based of experience

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing customer orders from entry through delivery while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role coordinates shipments with internal teams and third-party logistics providers, tracks freight activity, resolves delivery issues, reviews shipping documentation and invoices, manages freight claims, and utilizes ERP systems, Excel, and reporting tools to monitor performance and support logistics operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately enter and validate customer order data in the ERP system and track orders from receipt through delivery.
Monitor and report customer order lead times and minimum order quantities to ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with internal sales teams, customers, carriers, and receivers to resolve delivery-related issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with third-party providers, including carriers, cold storage facilities, and freight brokers.
Schedule loads and transfers and manage freight tracking, outbound orders, freight rerouting, and rework activities.
Review proof of delivery (POD) documents and reconcile freight quotes against actual invoiced charges.
Report and document shipment discrepancies, including overages, shortages, damages (OS&D), late deliveries, missing products, and rejected products.
Investigate, resolve, and document inbound and outbound freight claims in a timely manner.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.
Excellent customer service and logistics coordination skills.
Working knowledge of EDI and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience

Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or
One to two years of related logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service experience; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required Skills

Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to create and maintain Excel reports, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply written procedures, reports, and business documents.
Ability to communicate effectively in fluent English, both verbally and in writing.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
