Job description

Location: Troy, MIPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Specialist to support and coordinate international import operations. This role will be responsible for managing import documentation, customs clearance processes, shipment tracking, and communication with overseas suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods.The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of import or international logistics experience and be fluent in both Korean and English, as this position requires frequent communication and coordination with headquarters in Korea.Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin to final destination.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs-related documents.

  • Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment processing.

  • Track shipment status and proactively resolve transportation, customs clearance, or delivery issues.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, import requirements, and company policies.

  • Communicate regularly with headquarters and overseas vendors regarding shipment schedules, inventory status, and logistics updates.

  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely receipt of imported goods.
